If you've found your way to this website you will by now know lots about the Coast to Coast walk and it's origins. This website is dedicated to a small dog named Betty ‘Scoop' Whalley aged 12 (roughly) at the time of the walk. Her master Rich Whalley had always wanted to take her on a long distance walk and with marriage in August pending (to Karen that is …. As a young pup, Betty always dreamed of going for long walks, she would relish frolicking in the garden with best friend Rich, and delighted in having Rich slip behind her as she chased that elusive last bone. But Betty's biggest dream was going on THE walk, not just any walk, but a walk that would put Betty in the record books, a walk so prestigious, so gruelling, that those days with Rich and his heavy petting would feel like a gentler time. And to Betty's astonishment, her faithful master Mr Richard Whalley, had booked, and paid for the trip.
